Are you still wondering how you’re going to kick start a healthy lifestyle in 2019?
New year’s resolutions may have already fallen by the way side… Did you try a diet that turned out to be unsustainable? Have you slipped up? Are you feeling disappointed or guilty for letting yourself down?
You certainly are not alone. With everyone trying to better themselves at this time of year, it’s hard to not fall into the same pattern. The trouble is, everyone is different and perhaps going down which ever route has failed you wasn’t right for you.
This brings me to the point of our blog today, DROPiT21 has gone from strength to strength and as you can imagine, this time of year is a very busy time for us! We have a group of amazing participants currently spread over two programmes and it brings us an overwhelming sense of satisfaction to help so many people on their own personal journeys.
We aim to give our clients all of the tools to break their addictions to sugar and caffeine, empower them to make their own choices and change their own lives but with lots of support from us. We have a new extended 6-week programme for 2019, to enable our clients to really drill down the lifestyle changes they make.
The first programme of 2019 are now 19 days into their journeys and here’s how a few of them would describe their experiences so far….

“I like to think I’m reasonably fit for my age group. I do need to lose about 3 stone though. Have type 2 diabetes. Since starting DROPiT21 my glucose levels have dropped from 9 (not usually that high but hey it was Christmas). My levels have gone down to 5.7 that’s the lowest they have been for a very long time. The end of 2nd week I lost 10 lb and around 5 inches all round. My energy levels are up. My relationship with food has changed. I’m not missing sugary foods or carbs. The hardest part was drinking 3 litres of water daily. The exercise was useful although I didn’t do some of them. The first few days of DROPiT21 I felt a bit light headed, but it soon passed. The group support is so helpful. I’m confident I will lose more weight. And I would recommend this plan to anyone who seriously want to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle.”
“I have participated in DROPiT21 before very successfully but have found that stress plays a big part in my eating habits, whether brought on by changing hormones or external sources. 2018 was a stressful year for me. So, I decided to kick start 2019 with a focus on my health and wellbeing. So far so good……I’ve lost at least 8lbs and 8 inches, I’m sleeping better so when I wake up, I feel good. My clothes are more comfortable, I’m fitter and my self-esteem has increased. I also just happen to love the recipes offered on the program, as do the rest of my family, and I love how good food tastes. I’m amazed how quickly I have adapted to reducing my carb intake and reducing my dependence on food generally. I have found setting aside time to plan and make the meals is key. There are improvements in the program since I last participated, and I have signed up for the 6-week extended version to help the habit stick. I have another stone to lose but am confident I will achieve it and would highly recommend this programme to guide and support you along the way.”
“Reducing the sheer quantity of food, I used to eat has been one of the best parts of the program for me and I think this has been achieved by cutting out carbs and sugar. Also combining exercise with the diet is good as I always felt that I was too large to exercise without losing weight but combining them works well as you have to start somewhere. You can do it without anybody else seeing you which is great! My clothes feel so much more comfy than when I started and I feel more alive – if that makes sense. I can see that I have visibly lost weight which is great although still have a long way to go but I have a foundation on which I hope I can build.”
“What can I say DROPiT21 changes your life. I got totally out of control in 2018, eating, drinking, little exercise so my weight ballooned, had mood swing, terrible dull skin and rubbish sleep. Now I’m nearly a stone lighter and 11 inches thinner. I look, feel amazing, loving exercise again, sleeping like a log and brimming with confidence. I’ve got my mojo back. I love the fact I now love cooking again and get excited about trying the different recipes, yum! I’ve learnt so much about myself and now have the tools to continue forward with a healthier, happier me. “When I do DROPiT21 I find that within the first week, not only do I feel better physically, but mentally too. Physically my ibs symptoms disappear, I have more energy, my skin is clear, I look slimmer, more toned and just healthier. Mentally I become more organised and productive and my General Anxiety Disorder symptoms fade away – I sleep better, but don’t panic over little things as much, I don’t seem to overthink things as much.
Having done DROPiT21 a few times over their years I have found that there are aspects that I naturally keep going during day to day life such as drinking lemon water, more water, healthier food choices and cooking from scratch as much as possible. The DROPiT21 curry and chilli are staples in my family menu!”
It’s such a pleasure to see amazing people from all over the country coming together with one core purpose in their minds, to improve their health. They have the same goals, are making healthy lifestyle changes and working as a community.
