This is one the most versatile meals you can make, it’s so easy to double the recipe and batch cook this recipe. Ideal for a get together with friends, for a no fuss easy dinner that you don’t have to slave over for hours! Adjust the spice level as to suit your own taste.

INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 tbsp Coconut oil or rapeseed oil
- 750 g steak mince
- 1 medium onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 Red pepper diced
- 1 stick celery field diced
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Tomato puree.
- 1 tin red kidney beans
- 2 tsps chilli powder adjust to taste
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 250 ml water
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
HOW TO MAKE
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat, add the onion and garlic, cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion begins to soften.
- Add the mince, break it up and brown on all sides. Add the spices and a good measure of salt & pepper.
- Add the celery and red pepper, cook through for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and water and stir well to combine.
- Add the lemon juice and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Perfect served over a baked sweet potato, with rice and/or green vegetables.
